The 2008 Aging Revolution Summit: Changing the Paradigm for Aging Services

Aging Revolution II Summit - Thursday, September 25, 2008

Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellevue

The 2008 Aging Revolution Summit served as a dynamic platform to exchange provocative dialogue and innovative thinking on how to address the mounting economic and social challenges spurred by the rapid growth of our nation’s aging population.

The one-day event featured a compelling opening forum, interactive panel discussions and a keynote luncheon that was powerfully buoyed by keynote speaker Fred D. Thompson. The Honorable David M. Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States and current President and CEO of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation further charged the proceedings with special commentary that provided a searing picture of the harsh economic realities that beleaguer America and the immediate measures that must be undertaken to reverse the damage.

Keynote Speaker:

The Honorable Fred D. Thompson
U.S. Senator from Tennessee 1994-2002; 2008 Republican Presidential candidate; public servant; actor

Senator Thompson’s uniquely American life has been marked by not only recognizing opportunity when it arose, but by answering the call to public service and leadership. A man of the times, Senator Thompson will focus on the important issues facing aging Americans today, viewed through the principles he has carried throughout his career. Listen as he talks about the opportunities that lie ahead for the aging population in this year of political transition. Learn about some of the defining moments in his own lifetime that have enabled him to continue to live his life with purpose and passion, and how he has been open to new possibilities and continues to reinvent himself.
